The new STAPA® PP Reflexal products provide an exceptional silver metallic effect which has not been possible before by using plastics mass tinting technologies. Chrome-like finishes can be achieved.

What is STAPA® PP Reflexal?

STAPA® PP Reflexal pigments are tailored silver dollar automotive grades with outstanding brilliance combined with good hiding.

Target is to extend the use of metallic effect pigments into high-value application focusing on automotive trim, home appliances or cosmetic packaging.

This product group for plastics will optically satisfy with their bright and brilliant shine. Smooth, structureless metallic designs can be realized as well as bright, glossy effects, depending on the specific STAPA® PP Reflexal grade. Boundless design possibilities by combining STAPA® PP Reflexal with color pigments will create impressive effects.

Application Fields

STAPA® PP Reflexal grades are tailored for applications that require high brightness and reflectivity. STAPA® PP Reflexal products are designed for replacement of coating/painting by mass tinting technology.

Target applications are automotive plastics parts, household appliances, electrical housing (e.g., tablets & computers), cosmetic packaging, etc.

Technical information

STAPA® PP Reflexal is based upon polyolefin carrier with a pigment level of 80 - 85%.
It is a de-dusted product preparation.

STAPA® PP Reflexal is available in 25 kg steel drums.

Plastics Processing / Regulatory Information

STAPA® PP Reflexal can easily be used for various plastics processing such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, blown film and cast film. STAPA® PP Reflexal grades are compatible with various polymer systems like LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS, ABS, nylons and other engineering resins.
